The Technologies for Composites Molding

Composite materials are high-performance materials which can combine the advantages of several materials. They are widely used in different areas and becoming very popular. There are various ways to form the composites, including compression moulding, filament winding, injection moulding and so on. Then how many compression molding processes are there?

PHP is specialized in making SMC molding press with servo system, which is energy saving and stable. At the same time, we adopt environmental protecting device which creates a good production environment in the workshop.

The technologies for compression molding among composites molding processes:

1.Fiber prepreg moulding: It’s an easy techonology and used a lot. Put fiber prepreg into the mould first and then form the product in high temperature and pressure.

2. Rags moulding: cut the cotton, linen, glass fiber cloth or other fabric into pieces, soak them into the resin, put them in the mould and form in high temperature and pressure.

3.Fabric moulding: weave the fiber material into the needed shape and then put the fabric in the mould and form in high temperature and pressure.

4. Lamination moulding: this technology is opposite to fabric moulding, that is to soak the glass fiber and other fabric first and then cut the needed shape.

5. Filament winding: wind the carbon fiber cloth which is pre-soaked in resin around the core mould by special machine, and then form the product.

6. Preforming blank moulding: process the fiber according to predetermined shape, put the blank in the mould, add resin glue into it and then form the product

7.SMC moulding: cut the shape of SMC sheet according to the sizes and shapes, and then stack them up and put them in the mould.
